Schmidolin Dragon

Schmidolin Feuertaufe is an adventure walk for children with three difficulty levels. Our 3 year old grandchildren can manage the toughest route. Here you can also ride e-motorbikes for children and adults and there is also a radio-controlled race track for mini-trikes.

Edelsteinpark

Edelstein Park

Every child enjoys hunting for treasures. The Edelsteinen Park in Niedernsill is a great activity for young children. Hunt for precious stones in the “rivers” and “mines”. Mom and Dad can also participate. Afterwards go swimming for free in Badensee with the Piesendorf FUN+ CARD. Get there for free with the Lokahlbah.

Three top trail gnomepath

Treetop Gnome Route

A little further away, about a 45 minute drive, at the end of the Glemmtal in Hinterglemm. For the younger children there is the gnome path and the water playground. Older children can jump on a trampoline, go tubing, climb in the treetops and abseil. For the real daredevil, there is the flying fox. This attraction is definitely worth the trip.

Summer Toboggan Run

The Maisflitser summer toboggan run in Kaprun is a real thrill for the whole family. Descend down the mountain at 40 km/h, without brakes.

Ferleiten

Children love animals. Besides deer, roe deer and mountain goats, many more animals live in the mountains. There is also a large play adventure park. A 20 minutes car ride to get there.

Water Fun

Ervaar het opwindende gevoel van een tandem paragliding sprong, vanaf de Schmittenhöhe. Paraglidingkantoor en landings punt bevinden zich op weg naar Kaprun, slechts op 5 minuten afstand van onze chalets.

Midget Golf

There is an adventure Midget Golf Course in Bruck near the campsite and open-air swimming pool. Very easily accessible by bicycle. Along the way you will pass the Kaprun Movement Path, where balance is the biggest challenge.

OUTDOOR ADVENTURE FOR ADULTS

Paragliding

Experience the exhilarating feeling of a tandem paragliding jump from the Schmittenhöhe. The Paragliding Office and landing point is located on the way to Kaprun, just 5 minutes away from our chalets.

Downhill Riding

You can go downhill riding on the Kitzsteinhorn and in Saalbach, the downhill paradise of Austria. Gravelbiking is the latest craze. There are special gravel routes in the immediate vicinity. You can do amazing routes with a mountain bike or e-mountain bikes. Suitable for every level of rider, young and old.

Hochseilpark

Hochseilpark is the highest and largest high rope park in Europe and is located at the end of the Glemmtal in Hinterglemm. . Climbing and abseiling through the treetops. With the mega Flying Fox you fly for 1.5 km at 100 to 120 meters above the valley. There is also the Giant Swing – a 30 meter free fall, trampolines and tubing slides. A day full of adventure!

River Rafting

Rafting and Whitewater Canoeing on the Salzach. The longest whitewater rafting trip in Salzburgerland between Taxenbach and Schwarzach. Conquer the wild swirling river and avoid the rocks.

At the end of the trip enjoy a complementary Bratwurst from the grill.

Golf

There are 2 x 18 Holes Golf Courses in the Salzach Valley. Surrounded by the Hohe Tauern, Schmittenhöhe and Maiskogel and with a view of the Kitzsteinhorn. In the Spring and with any luck in October and November you can do a 2-in-1 deal – Ski in the morning and Golf in the afternoon.

Hiking

Countless hiking trails. You can do a day hike, starting before dawn, or take a multi-day trip and spend the night in a mountain hut.

Rock Climbing

In Saalfelden there is an indoor climbing hall in where you can learn steep wall climbing. At Stauseen you can take lessons as a beginner or inexperienced climber. For experienced climbers, there are plenty of rock climbing challenges in the area – challenge yourself.

Tauern Spa

After all the activities, a day of relaxing in the Spa is a treat for your body and mind.

A Sauna is of course possible at Chalet on the Rood, but if you want a whole day of relaxation and pampering, the Tauern Spa is highly recommended.
